Reevaluating My Goals

While I am a goal setter, I also know that I tend to be over ambitious with them. Such has the year of 2009 proven to be, with unexpected things in life bringing pressure to bear on my writing schedule. Additionally, I have not been living the healthiest I need to be—as I pushed to hard in recovery after a surgery to my ankle, which caused multiple set backs on physical activity. As a result of all of this, I am reevaluating my goals for 2009.

I have many stories in progress right now, including four novels. With that in mind, I am splitting my time between the short stories and novels I have planned to be submitted by the end of the year. Once I have accomplished this, I will add more projects—for there is a fountain of ideas I could play with in every genre I write.

Thank you for reading. Please visit www.davidalanlucas.com for updates on the blogs, novels and short stories that I write.
